The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

The luck of Huckleberry Finn, Tom Sawyer’s best friend, ends when his father returns to town and takes him to live in a cabin. Huck manages to escape on a raft downstream and meets his friend Jim, a slave who, like him, runs away seeking freedom. When you read it as a child, what catches your attention is how foul-mouthed the protagonist can be and how fun his adventures in the Mississippi are, but as an adult you will understand the powerful message against racism that the friendship between Huck and Jim hides.
